Richey Rumble, a tool and die maker by trade, grew up vacationing on the coasts of KwaZulu- Natal. His love for the ocean is endless.
From surfing, spearfishing and fishing from a very youngage, it was surfing that peaked his interest in working with fibreglass and composites.
He has spent over three decades working in the marine industry. During that time, he has
seen and repaired it all. Starting off by doing minor fibreglass repairs on surfboards and boats,
eventually honing his skills and moving on to full modifications on various types of marine
vessels.
For 16 years, Richey had a fiberglass and composite repairs business based out of False Bay
Yacht Club. With a multitude of clients from all over the country and continent, he has gained a
wealth of knowledge and experience. Through connections made within the marine industry in
early 2023, an opportunity arose for him to make his dream of building boats a reality.
Richey’s love for the ocean has played a huge role in his life, from the grom surfing the waves
of KZN, to the man who’s engineering and fibreglass /composite skills, are sought after by many
water craft owners.
Everything in his life has lead him to this moment and UX Marine is excited
to show you what he has planned for our vessels.
